Leonard & Hazel™ is proud to announce that we have now officially partnered with Stuller, Inc. to offer you some of the best Gemstones and Jewelry settings on the market! This is huge!
Stuller, Inc. is the #1 supplier of fine jewelry, findings, mountings, tools, packaging, diamonds & gemstones for today’s retail jeweler. They manufacture and distribute more than 200,000 unique jewelry and jewelry-related items to jewelry professionals worldwide… and we’re now one of them!
This means that we can scout out some of the best gemstones and jewelry settings for you and then have your piece custom-made ‘exactly the way you want it!’
Why loose gemstones and fine jewelry? There are a few reasons…
I actually have a few years of experience in the jewelry industry (4 years to be exact) and it has always remained a passion of mine.
I’ve worked for 2 years at a Fine Jewelry and Artifacts company in Las Vegas named Ancient Creations. At the time they had 3 shops and maybe 10 salespeople. I was one of their top producers and really enjoyed helping connect the right piece(s) with the right customer(s).
I left them in 2002 (I think it was) to manage Parks Place Jewelers located inside of the Riviera Hotel in Las Vegas, NV. My old partner, Rodger Parks, bought out T-Bird Jewelers (the oldest Jewelry store on the Las Vegas strip) and he had me manage the place for him for a couple of years.
At the time, I was managing the store and buying and selling Jewelry, I also learned a lot about Jewelry making from our Jeweler, Avi. He had been working there for something like 40 years when it was still T-Bird Jewelers. Avi took a special liking to me because I’m half Armenian and he loved telling me all about the culture which he was very proud of.
I also spent a year at Al Collin’s Graphic Design School 1995-1996 in Tempe, AZ and have always been an Artist / Designer at heart.
Tina doesn’t have as much experience with jewelry design as I do, but she also has a love for art and design and is excited about learning the skills of metalsmithing and jewelry making.
Here is a ring we are making together. It’s not finished yet but we’ll show you a sneak peek of it anyway…
Although I know enough about jewelry & design to make some impressive jewelry, some things we are learning together. When we get requests that are beyond our current capability, we pass the work to a Senior Jewelry Specialist on our team to always ensure the best craftsmanship and quality, worthy of the Leonard & Hazel™ name.
